Registering the Web Update Wizard

Register the Web Update Wizard once you have purchased it using the following procedure.

Use the 'Register' option from the Windows Start Menu:

If you have chosen not to create a start menu group or have subsequently removed it, open a command prompt in the Web Update Wizard install folder (which contains a copy of the WebUpdateSvc4.exe file) and type the following:

WebUpdateSvc4 -Register "C:\Program Files\WebUpdateWizard"

"C:\Program Files\WebUpdateWizard" is the location of the folder which contains your Web Update Wizard licence file, WebUpdateSvc4.lic.  Note that even though the licence file is in the current working folder you must still provide the folder path as a command line argument.

When you choose the 'Register' start menu option or type the command line above the following dialog box will appear.  Copy and paste the licence text from your registration email into the dialog box and click 'OK':

If the serial number is recognised your registration will be complete.

Important Note!

You must deploy your registered serial number licence file, WebUpdateSvc4.lic, with your application.  Please ensure it is installed into the same folder as the application file which will be calling the Web Update Wizard.  If a licence file is not found in the same folder as the application file which called the Web Update Wizard then the call will fail with the following message box:
